Banking service chronicle published this article page no 5 the indian government has launched a new centrally sponsored scheme called the new india literacy programme. the scheme will have a financial outlay of over one thousand crore rupees and will be implemented from 2022-23 to 2026-27. the scheme aims to target five crore non-literates in the age group of 15 years and above. the beneficiaries will be identified through door-to-door surveys conducted by surveyors using a mobile app. non-literates can also register for the scheme directly through the mobile app from any location. the information was provided by the minister of state for education annpurna devi in a written reply to a question in the rajya sabha Banking service chronicle magazine subscription.
